We place wall studs, floor joists, and rafters every 16 inches instead of the more standard 24 inches. We also use hurricane ties between the walls and roof to provide one of the most secure connections in the shed industry.
Our 2×6-foot floor joists provide twice the strength of 2x4s that other manufacturers typically use. This provides the stiffest floor you can get, and if you want even more protection, you can opt for Luxguard, which is our proprietary flooring upgrade that keeps your floor safe from rotting, staining, or emitting bad odors.
All wood is also Select Spruce, which is highly durable. It has fewer knots, surface defects, or any discoloration than most framing lumber.
Many Amish shed companies offer a limited number of shed options. At nuHaus Outdoors, we currently have 18 designs you can choose from, but the options within are nearly limitless. Features include the color of the exterior, the style of siding and roof, electrical options, and interior upgrades like a loft, shelving, and workbenches.
